Had surgery yesterday with Dr Bert Oelbrandt at the Singelberg clinic in Beveren. I’m from the UK but he’s totally worth a trip on Eurostar. The journey was easy and the clinic itself is easy to find. Literally around the corner from his hotel which he also owns (however I didn’t know that and he did recommend others, his is just the closest and an excellent quality hotel)
Communication with Dr O via email and WhatsApp has been faultless, he’s very professional and reassuring. This is the second time I’ve used him for a breast reduction, first from GG to D but over the years I put a little weight on and went up to an E. As I have issues with my neck I went back for a second operation with Dr O again. He’s done a marvellous job getting me down to the B/C I asked for. The operation was yesterday so I’m a little swollen and bruised but I have every confidence I’ll be left with exactly what I wanted. Drains out the next morning and I feel much better.
Dr O is incredibly smart and boy does he know his stuff. He does many other types of surgery and I personally wouldn’t go anywhere else. He’s brilliant, would highly recommend.
His lovely wife runs the NotariusHuis hotel and she’s one of the nicest, most professional people you could meet. She also arranges extra meetings with Dr O if you need them while you’re there. Our room is very big and extremely comfortable. Toon minder »

Op aanraden van een vriendin die al vaker door Dr. Oelbrandt naar tevredenheid geopereerd is, ben ik in februari op consult geweest. Dr. Oelbrandt nam echt zeer ruim te tijd om uit te leggen wat hij vond dat ik nodig had en wat de mogelijkheden waren. Omdat mijn huid zodanig verslapt was, en Dr. Oelbrandt voor een langer resultaat wilden gaan, kozen we voor een deep plane facelift. Daarbij heb ik ook een halslift gekregen. Tevens zijn mijn onder oogleden en mijn boven oogleden ook aangepakt, en heeft tie vet uit mijn been gehaald en daarmee mijn slapen, wangen, kin en lippen gevuld. Het resultaat is verbluffend!! Het is pas 2 weken geleden dus het kan alleen nog maar mooier worden , maar ik ben nu al ontzettend tevreden. Heel dankbaar dat ik door deze zeer lieve vriendelijk en kundige arts geholpen ben. Ik zou Dr. Oelbrandt zeer zeker aanraden.
Goede tip is om lekker te overnachten in de B&B Notarishuis. Deze wordt gerund door mevrouw Oelbrandt. Na de operatie ben ik door de verpleging daar heen gebracht, dat is nog geen minuut lopen van de kliniek, en komt Dr. Oelbrandt in de avond nog bij je langs om te kijken hoe het met je gaat. Ik was bijvoorbeeld best nog wat misselijk van de roes, en kreeg meteen een prik tegen de misselijkheid. Zijn vrouw kwam zelfs nog wat te eten brengen. En steeds ijspads voor op mijn ogen. Super lief en goed verzorgd. De volgende ochtend kun je lekker ontbijten en dan komt Dr. Oelbrandt weer bij je kijken hoe het je gaat. Een hele fijne dokter en zeer goed geholpen! Toon minder »

The actual surgery experience was excellent with a surgical team who were exceptional providing professional support to a nervous patient. I am very pleased with the initial outcomes and through the first few weeks of recovery post surgery I was well supported by Dr Oelbrandt. I have hated the appearance of my nose for a very very long time-I had an asymmetrical front profile with a dorsal hump.

I originally went to Dr Oelbrandt in 2018 and we set a date for my rhinoplasty. However, I felt I wasn’t ready and we cancelled it.

In 2021, I rescheduled it for March 2022 after feeling I was ready.

The consultation was thorough and Dr Oelbrandt was very welcoming and honest. He was realistic with his expectations.

We agreed he would straighten my nose, lift the tip, reduce the hump, strengthen the bridge where it was too thin, and thin the base of my nose. All of those wishes were met.

Another thing we discussed was my reoccurring sinus infections, it has almost been a year and I haven’t had one. My breathing is much much better too.

The surgery went well, and he came and visited me each day to check how I was doing.

I didn’t bruise as much as I expected and the discomfort was mild.

When I took the cast off at home a week later, I had very irregularly swollen but he reassured me that it was normal. He gave great care instructions.

I am incredibly happy with my nose, the biggest compliment I get is that it’s natural and it fits my face perfectly.

Open Rhinoplasty
I had my Rhinoplasty with Dr Oelbrandt on the 14/08/19. I can say this was the best decision for me when choosing my surgeon. Dr O had performed my BA & Uplift 5 years ago and I saw no other reason but to go to him for my initial consultation. He is honest about what can be done and explained everything to me. I knew I made the right choice. I was super nervous, especially on a procedure that you cannot hide. I knew I was in good hands. We travelled from London to Belgium and stayed at the Notarishuis Beveren Hotel, just across the road from Singleberg Clinic. I had my procedure done at the General Hospital due to a blockage on my right nostril, this was flawless.
All my consultations were done in the UK and even his Secretary was on the ball. I stayed for 5 days in Belgium as I wanted to make sure everything was ok due to me being nervous.
